FlipQuiz for Making Review Games

This week I became aware of an amazing new FREE website called FlipQuiz.

FlipQuiz provides educators with a quick way to create game show style boards for test review in the classroom.

I use to make these Jeopardy type games using Power Point, but they would take me F.O.R.E.V.E.R.  Now you can select your category titles, type in questions, and the answers are optional.  In just minutes I had an amazing review for our Mid Module 5 Test.

With FlipQuiz, questions are displayed on-screen and boards are saved for later use.

Give FlipQuiz a try when creating your next review quiz.

Check out my NEW Winter Solve & Check Math Worksheets for 4th grade.  This pack contains 33 math worksheets aligned to the 4th grade CCLS for math.

Students solve each problem and then color the answer below.  This self-checking feature works out great for homework, independent or partner practice, morning work, or centers.  Students immediately know if their answer is correct.  If they are not able to color in the answer below they know to try the problem again.

I like to bundle a couple of the worksheets together and send them home for extra credit over February break.  That way students stay fresh with their math skills as they review previously learned concepts.

Free Digital Children's Books

Today while shuffling through Pinterest pins I came across an amazing website:  We Give Books.

You can find over 150 digital children's books (for children up to the age of 10) and teacher resources all for FREE.  This includes both fiction and nonfiction books as well as some seasonal!  Check out the collection!

Plus, the organization donates a book for every book your students read online.  To date, We Give Books readers have donated over 1 million books.

I am blown away.  I can't wait to use this wonderful online tool in the classroom!
